Hello! My name is Jennifer Byrd, and my love and compassion for animals inspired me to start Byrd Watchers - an in-home pet care service for your precious loved ones.

Your pets deserve to be cared for in the comfort of their own homes, eating the food they love, and thriving in the environment that you have crafted for them, even while you're away. Leaving a pet behind should never cause stress, on you or your pet.

It all started with just a few of the regular clients at the dog grooming shop I worked at in 2015. From there, their trust in me inevitably lead to word spreading of my services, to the point that I was able to make this officially my full time career.

I have since been able to expand my offerings, and recruit a handful of trusted associates to help me cover most of Pinellas County, FL.

Any critter, from small to large, young to old, any support you need, we are insured pet professionals that go above and beyond to take care of your little ones and provide the best possible care!

We sincerely appreciate every one of our clients, human and animal alike!

FAQ:

1) May I include my friend/relative’s dog in with the booking?

Absolutely! However, a service agreement must be signed and turned into the sitter prior to or at the begin of the booking. Or acknowledged online when booked. Failure to have a signed service agreement could result in termination of booking. Prices may also change depending on the number of dogs.

2) Does Byrd Watchers offer discounts for bulk booking?

Not at this time. However, we do try and help out our regular clients anyway we can!

3) Why is a personal, in home pet sitter better than a kennel?

While some people prefer to board their animals, Jenny Byrd chose this career to help aid the animals that don't handle confined and new spaces very well and prefer to be in the environment they know the most. Kennels can also put your pet at risk for airborne diseases and possible attacks by other animals. To a pet, there is no place better than the home you have crafted for it! Well, except the treat aisle at the pet store.

4) Can I meet the sitter before the booking?

A meet and greet is actually mandatory! We want to get to know you and your pet before we agree to be your pet's companion. This is for their safety and ours as well. You can get to know us and show us the routine so we know exactly how your animal expects life to be while your away. All meet and greets are done prior to the booking, so please set up a meet and greet with enough time before you have to go away.
